Under the direct supervision of the Chief Bailiff, the Bailiff supports the mission of the Blue Earth County Sheriff’s Office by providing professional, courteous, and courageous law enforcement services that are vital to the protection of life, property, and preserving public peace. This position is responsible for maintaining a safe, secure, and orderly courtroom for trials performed. The Bailiff is responsible for conducting various inspections and performing various clerical duties. This position is also responsible for overseeing the maintenance of the courtrooms, coordinating in-custody transports, developing policies and procedures, assisting court personnel, and participating in professional staff development.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:Part-Time
Monday through Friday between 7:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., 30 hours per work week. Hours are not set and may vary greatly.
All hours worked are structured to meet service demands and the needs of the public served.
