Backend AI Engineer
Location: San Francisco, CA (Hybrid)
Duration: 6 Months Contract
We are seeking an experienced Backend AI Engineer to build and scale AI-powered applications, intelligent automation platforms, and cloud-native backend services.
Key Skills
• 5+ years of Python backend development experience
• FastAPI, Flask, REST APIs, Microservices, Distributed Systems
• Hands-on experience with Generative AI and LLMs (OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini, etc.)
• Experience building RAG solutions, semantic search, and AI agents
• Knowledge of Vector Databases (Pinecone, Weaviate, Chroma, FAISS, Milvus)
• Experience with LangChain, LlamaIndex, or LangGraph
• AI observability, evaluation, and monitoring experience
• Cloud platforms: AWS, GCP, or Azure
• Docker, CI/CD, and DevOps best practices
Preferred
• Vertex AI, CrewAI, or Agentic AI frameworks
• Data Engineering/ETL experience
• React.js knowledge is a plus
