Azure Data Engineer - MS Fabric

Senior/Lead Data Engineer (Contract | Fremont, CA – Hybrid)

Duration: 12 Months Contract

Work Model: Hybrid (3 days onsite per week)

We are looking for a Senior/Lead Data Engineer to drive large-scale data transformation initiatives using Azure technologies. This role focuses on building scalable data pipelines and modern data platforms while working closely with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and build data pipelines using PySpark and SQL
• Develop scalable data warehousing solutions
• Work with Azure services including ADF, Databricks, and Microsoft Fabric
• Collaborate with business and technical teams to deliver data solutions
• Ensure performance, reliability, and scalability of data systems
• Mentor junior engineers and promote best practices

Required Experience

• 12+ years of IT experience with 8+ years in data engineering
• Strong hands-on experience with Azure stack (ADF, Databricks, Functions)
• Proficiency in SQL, PySpark, and ETL/data warehousing concepts
• Experience with Microsoft Fabric (1–2 years)
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment

• Databricks certification
• Experience in data modeling
