Job Summary:

The Automotive Validation Engineer is responsible for verifying and validating automotive systems, components, and software to ensure they meet functional, performance, safety, and regulatory requirements. This role involves developing and executing validation plans, analyzing test results, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality automotive products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute validation and verification plans for automotive systems and components.
  • Design, implement, and maintain test cases, test procedures, and validation frameworks.
  • Perform system, integration, and component-level testing (hardware and/or software).
  • Analyze test results, identify defects, and support root cause analysis.
  • Collaborate with design, development, and quality teams to resolve issues and improve product performance.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and customer requirements.
  • Prepare detailed test reports, validation documentation, and technical presentations.
  • Support validation activities such as environmental, durability, reliability, and performance testing.
  • Utilize testing tools, simulation environments, and diagnostic equipment.
  • Participate in continuous improvement of validation processes and methodologies.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related field.
  • 2–5 years of experience in automotive validation, testing, or a similar role.
  • Strong understanding of automotive systems (e.g., powertrain, ADAS, infotainment, or embedded systems).
  • Experience with validation tools, data acquisition systems, and testing methodologies.
  • Familiarity with industry standards (e.g., ISO, automotive safety and quality standards).
  • Proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Effective communication and teamwork abilities.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with automotive communication protocols (e.g., CAN, LIN, Ethernet).
  • Knowledge of validation frameworks and automation tools.
  • Exposure to model-based development and simulation tools.
  • Understanding of functional safety and validation processes.
