Responsibilities

  • Determines the guest’s needs by conducting a needs assessment
  • Thoroughly presents inventory while having the requisite knowledge to conduct a thorough explanation of the selected vehicle and overcome objections
  • Initiates the steps for an appraisal of a trade-in vehicle
  • Presents selected vehicle for a demonstration drive and feature/benefit presentation, and answers the guest’s questions and addresses any concerns about the vehicle
  • Introduces all guests who have made the decision to purchase a vehicle to the Dimmitt Service Department
  • Engages the guest in the delivery of the vehicle, ensuring that the guest is familiar with all operations and features of the vehicle
  • Establishes self as the point of contact for any future product questions or needs
  • Regularly tracks changing vehicle market conditions, values, activities, and incentives
  • Keeps abreast of incoming inventory, features, accessories, and technological changes and how they may benefit guests
  • Participates in special events such as auto shows and other opportunities to represent the Dimmitt brand
  • Regularly attends and actively participates in new vehicle meetings as required
  • Commits to obtaining team and personal objectives
  • Utilizes the CRM and maintains a documented plan to accomplish daily, monthly, and annual objectives including recording all guest visits

Qualifications

  • High School degree or equivalent required.
  • 2-4 years of automotive sales experience with proven success meeting goals and objectives
  • Demonstrated strong work history and professional background, showing reliability and commitment
  • Ability to build relationships with guests, associates, and all levels of leadership
  • Passionate and energetic team member who is innovative, proactive, and focused on quality and serving
  • Positive, enthusiastic, and professional image
  • Ability to communicate effectively both in writing and in person including active listening

Group Benefits eligibility for full-time associates is 1st of month after 60 days. The plan includes:

Subsidized Health Insurance with eligibility the first of the month following 60 days of service

Company funded Group Term Life and matching AD&D in the amount of $5,000.00

PTO available with cashout option after the completion of 1 year of service

Paid holidays after the completion of 90 days of service

401(K) eligibility after the completion of 60 days of service. A company match is provided up to 3% of the associate’s contribution. Participants must be 21 years of age or older.

o 10% vested after the completion of 1 year of service

o 100% vested after the completion of 2 years of service
