Automation Test Lead (SDET)

Job Summary:

Our client is seeking a Automation Test Lead (SDET) to join their team! This position is located Hybrid in St. Louis, Missouri.

Our client is currently hiring a Senior Automation Developer (SDET) to join their testing team! In this role, you will act as the "go-to" SME within a growing QA organization. While you will be a hands-on tester, you will also be responsible for mentoring testers, distributing workloads, and guiding the team. Duties:

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Selenium, Junit and Cucumber (BDD) tests for web application testing
• Collaborate with development and product teams to create automated tests for functional, regression, and performance testing
• Develop, execute, and maintain test cases to ensure software meets business requirements and quality standards
• Utilize Java and JavaScript for creating automation test frameworks and scripts
• Analyze test results, identify defects, and collaborate with development teams to troubleshoot and resolve issues
• Continuously improve the test suite by implementing best practices and optimizing test performance
• Ensure proper integration of the test automation suite with the CI/CD pipeline
• Participate in code reviews and provide feedback to ensure high-quality code standards

Desired Skills/Experience:

• Proven experience in test automation such as Selenium and Playwright
• Strong programming skills in Java, JavaScript or Python
• Experience in writing and executing SQL queries for data validation
• Solid understanding of testing methodologies and Agile/Scrum practices
• Experience with test automation frameworks, Version control tools and CI/CD tools like Jenkins or similar

The approximate pay range for this position is between $88,000 - $105,000. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to background, knowledge, skills, and location. We comply with local wage minimums.
