Automation Engineer (PLC, FDE)

We are seeking experienced Automation Manufacturing Engineers(FDE, PLC) to join commercial packaging operations. These contractors will serve as system owners across newly commissioned packaging lines, providing hands‑on support for automation, controls, and vision systems during live production.

Key Responsibilities

• Automation support: Deliver floor‑level troubleshooting and controls support across multiple packaging lines.
• PLC troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve complex issues on Siemens, Allen Bradley, and B&R platforms.
• Vision systems: Support integration and troubleshooting of vision inspection and serialization equipment.
• Deviation investigations: Partner with engineering, operations, and quality to investigate automation‑related deviations and implement corrective actions.
• Continuous improvement: Drive initiatives to enhance line performance, reliability, and efficiency.
• Compliance: Ensure all work adheres to GMP, FDA, and site standards with accurate documentation.

Preferred Qualifications

• 8+ years experience in automation/controls engineering within manufacturing (pharma, food & beverage, consumer goods, or other regulated/high‑volume environments).
• Strong proficiency with Siemens, Allen Bradley, and B%26R platforms.
• Hands‑on experience with packaging machinery in live production.
• Familiarity with GMP environments and regulated manufacturing practices.
• Knowledge of vision inspection and serialization systems.
• Strong troubleshooting instincts and ability to work independently.
• Collaborative communicator across maintenance, operations, engineering, and quality teams.
• Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
