Job Description:
We are seeking an Automation Project Engineer with 7–10 years of experience to support a greenfield GMP manufacturing project. This role is focused on automation project execution and compliance, including design support, vendor coordination, commissioning, qualification, and validation of automation systems. The engineer will work cross-functionally with Quality, Commissioning & Qualification, Production, Safety, IT/OT, and external automation vendors to ensure systems are delivered compliantly and aligned with project schedules.
This is a project-driven automation role, not a maintenance or support position. Strong experience with industrial automation platforms such as Allen-Bradley, Siemens, and equivalent PLC/HMI/SCADA systems is required, along with demonstrated experience working as an automation project engineer in regulated pharmaceutical or biotech environments. Experience with automated warehouse or material handling systems is a plus but not required.
Candidate Requirements:
Degree:
For Mid-Level, Bachelor and/or Master in either Electrical Engineering, Mechanical engineering, Electronics Engineering, Mechatronics, Automation, Robotics, computer engineering or Computer Science is required.
Will consider Mid/Senior candidates with strong automation experience and degrees in Mechanical, Chemical, Industrial, or related fields.
Project Management, Coordination and Collaboration:
Experience working with third-party vendors.
Collaborates across Quality, Commissioning Qualification & Validation, Safety, Production, Site IT, and Site Engineering.
Automation Systems Commissioning, Start-up and Validation
Industry: 4-5 years of Pharmaceutical/GMP experience.
GMP and Bio-Pharma experience preferred.
Expertise: 5-6 years in automation.
Knowledge of automation systems (HMI, PLC, Network, Field Devices).
Able to recommend solutions and lead troubleshooting.
