Seeking a detail-oriented Auto Drafter to join our engineering and fabrication team. In this role, you will be responsible for transforming complex structural concepts and sketches into precise 2D technical drawings and 3D models. Your work will be the blueprint for our fabrication shop, ensuring that every beam, plate, and assembly meets our high standards for safety and structural integrity.
Key ResponsibilitiesDrafting & Design: Create detailed shop drawings, erection plans, and assembly diagrams using AutoCAD and/or specialized steel detailing software (e.g., Tekla Structures, Advance Steel).
Technical Accuracy: Ensure all drawings comply with industry standards (AISC, AWS) and local building codes.
Collaboration: Work closely with Project Managers and Lead Engineers to interpret design intent and resolve architectural discrepancies.
Bill of Materials (BOM): Generate accurate material take-offs and cutting lists to streamline procurement and minimize waste.
