An automotive dealership located north of the Nashville, TN area, is seeking a Title Clerk to manage the legal documentation related to vehicle ownership including processing vehicle sales, preparing and submitting legal documents for title transfers, ensuring compliance with state regulations, verifying the accuracy of paperwork, managing tax documents, and facilitating the registration of new and used vehicles. Manage the legal documentation related to vehicle ownership including processing vehicle sales, preparing and submitting legal documents for title transfers, ensuring compliance with state regulations, verifying the accuracy of paperwork, managing tax documents, and facilitating the registration of new and used vehicles
Prepare tax and title documents for submission.
Submit legal transfer documents to the Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV).
Verify that all funds have been collected, and the correct lienholder is paid off before processing title applications.
Check for accuracy in applications and ensure all information is complete.
Maintain a system to verify out-of-state titles and compile lists of outstanding title work.
Report any issues with titles to management and provide updates on outstanding titles.
Serve as a liaison between the dealership, customers, and governmental bodies.
Communicate effectively with customers regarding title and registration processes.
Qualifications:
Auto dealership title clerk and/or some accounting experience is preferred.
Proficiency in basic math and computer systems
Strong attention to detail and good organizational skills.
Good communication and skills, both written and verbal
