Auction Operations Specialist

Looper Auction & Realty II, LLC — Fort Smith, AR

Compensation: $55,000–$65,000 base salary + performance-based bonuses

Employment Type: Full-Time

About Our Client

Looper Auction & Realty II, LLC has been serving the Fort Smith area and surrounding region for nearly 40 years. They are a full-service auction and realty company specializing in real estate, personal property and estate sales, and farm equipment auctions. They are a small, hardworking team that takes pride in doing things the right way, and they're growing.

About the Role

We are looking for a driven, physically capable, and business-minded individual to join the team as an Auction Operations Specialist. This is a hands-on, all-around role that touches every part of what we do — from the equipment yard to the auction floor to on-site property walkthroughs. You will work alongside ownership and become an integral part of how this business runs day to day. This is not a desk job. This is a career opportunity for someone who wants to learn the auction business from the ground up, grow with a company that has deep roots in the region, and eventually take on more responsibility over time.

Key Responsibilities

Auction Support & Operations

  • Assist with setup and breakdown of auctions, including on-site and off-site events
  • Work in the auction office trailer operating Auction Flex software — registering buyers, processing payments, settling auctions, and supporting overall office functions
  • Assist with day-to-day auction operations and help keep everything running smoothly during auction events

Equipment Yard

  • Assist with equipment intake, check-in, and cataloging for consignment and equipment auctions
  • Help organize and maintain the equipment yard
  • Assist with moving, staging, and handling equipment as needed (physical lifting and outdoor work required)

Transportation & Logistics

  • Drive the company truck and office trailer to on-site auction locations (some experience with truck and trailer preferred; willingness to become proficient required)
  • Assist with general logistics — picking up and dropping off keys, supplies, and other items as needed
  • Run errands to support daily business operations

Marketing & Pre-Auction Preparation

  • Assist in or independently conduct pre-auction walkthroughs — photographing auction items, real estate, and equipment, and gathering details for advertising materials (typically 30 days prior to auction)
  • Create, print, and install auction signage
  • Support the team in producing quality advertising content for upcoming auctions

General Business Support

  • Assist ownership with a wide variety of tasks to keep the business running efficiently
  • Be willing to step in wherever needed — this team works together and everyone does what it takes

What We're Looking For

  • Are hardworking, reliable, and eager to learn
  • Are business-minded and take pride in doing things right
  • Are physically capable — this role involves outdoor work in heat, cold, and varying conditions, as well as lifting, moving, and handling equipment
  • Have some experience with a truck and trailer, or are willing and able to learn
  • Are comfortable with technology and willing to learn auction management software
  • Have a background in warehouse, logistics, construction, equipment, retail management, or similar environments (helpful but not required)
  • Want a long-term opportunity with room to advance

Compensation & Benefits

Base Salary: $55,000 – $65,000 (based on experience)

Performance-Based Bonuses: Bonus opportunities tied to auction performance and individual growth within the role

Opportunity to grow into greater responsibility within the company
