💰 Compensation: Competitive ($130,000-$160,000) + Bonus Potential


Overview

A Raleigh-based law firm is seeking an Associate Attorney with experience in medical malpractice and healthcare litigation to join its growing team. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a highly regarded healthcare practice representing a broad range of clients across the industry.

The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in litigation, the ability to manage sensitive matters with discretion, and a collaborative, client-focused approach.


The Practice

The firm represents a diverse client base, including hospitals, physician groups, long-term care facilities, nursing homes, medical staffing organizations, and healthcare technology providers. Attorneys regularly defend physicians, nurses, and allied health professionals in professional negligence, credentialing, and licensing matters across both state and federal courts nationwide.


Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct case analysis and develop strategic litigation approaches
  • Prepare and respond to discovery requests
  • Take and defend depositions; draft motions and attend hearings
  • Advise clients on legal strategies and potential outcomes
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships
  • Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing


Qualifications

  • J.D. from an accredited law school
  • Active membership in good standing with the North Carolina Bar
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in medical malpractice or healthcare litigation
  • Strong analytical, drafting, and communication skills
  • Proven ability to manage cases independently and meet deadlines
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and professional
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Outlook (iManage or OneDrive experience a plus)
