The Division of Administration/Office of Risk Management has a vacancy. This job title has an assigned pay grade of AS-626.
This position is within the Office of Risk Management (ORM), an ancillary agency of the Division of Administration (DOA) established by R.S.39:1527 et al. The responsibility of ORM, identified in RS 39:1535, is to manage all state insurance covering property and liability exposures, through commercial underwriters or by self-insuring. This requires the duty of managing all claims, including all tort claims made against the state or any state agency, whether or not covered by the Self-Insurance Fund. This does not include managing insurance or tort claims of higher education institutions exempted under state law.
The Attorney - General Counsel 1 functions as chief legal counsel for ORM and supports and assists the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and other ORM staff, in progressing the overall strategic direction of ORM. Provides legal guidance on developing, updating, and monitoring ORM’s programmatic operations. Supports special projects or initiatives through extensive, collaborative interaction with various State Departments, DOA sections, contractors, and other public or private entities.

Compensation: This position has a Special Entrance Rate (SER) of $3,828.80No Civil Service test scoreis required in order to be considered for this vacancy.
