Attorney

We are seeking an experienced litigation attorney to join a growing firm in the Columbus, Ohio area. The ideal candidate will have 4+ years of litigation experience, with a preference for exposure to complex matters. This role requires a proactive, organized attorney who can manage a varied caseload and collaborate effectively with both colleagues and clients.

What will you be doing?

• Manage all phases of litigation, from initial case intake through trial and resolution.
• Conduct thorough legal research and draft persuasive motions, briefs, and other legal documents.
• Engage in discovery processes, including document review, depositions, and interrogatories.
• Utilize case management software and technology to streamline workflows and ensure efficient case handling.
• Maintain high standards of data integrity and confidentiality while managing case files.
• Collaborate with lead attorneys to deliver reliable and high-quality legal work product.
• Navigate multiple deadlines and projects in a fast-paced litigation environment.
• Foster positive relationships with clients, staff, opposing counsel, and court personnel.
• Take on increasing levels of responsibility to grow as a litigator.

Requirements:

• License to practice law in Ohio.
• 4+ years of litigation experience, with a preference for exposure to complex litigation.
• Demonstrate exceptional legal research, writing, and communication skills.
• Show proficiency in civil litigation processes, including discovery and trial preparation.
• Exhibit strong organizational skills and the ability to manage a high-volume docket.
• Display familiarity with case management software and technology tools.
• Work effectively both independently and within a team dynamic.
• Maintain professionalism and strong interpersonal skills when interacting with clients, colleagues, and court personnel.
