ASSOCIATE TECHNICAL DESIGNER

(Apparel Product Development)

We have an invitation waiting for an Associate Technical Designer who thrives at the intersection of fit, construction, and problem solving. This role is responsible for the development process and technical integrity of products. The ideal candidate brings a strong understanding of patternmaking and grading across a wide spectrum of shapes and sizes.


Responsibilities:

  • Own end-to-end development of assigned styles—from concept through production—ensuring fit, quality, and construction meet brand standards
  • Partner closely with Design to build clear, accurate tech packs and bring product vision to life
  • Manage multiple styles simultaneously, maintaining strong organization, accountability, and momentum
  • Lead fittings with a clear point of view, driving decisions through fit, wear testing, and data-backed insights
  • Execute wear testing programs end-to-end, including model coordination, surveys, analysis, and recaps
  • Communicate daily with factories and cross-functional partners to move development forward and resolve issues quickly
  • Track timelines, deliverables, and development milestones in Asana, ensuring on-time execution
  • Evaluate samples (proto, PP, TOP) for fit, quality, and construction, identifying issues and driving resolution
  • Build and maintain systems for tracking fit data, assets, and product learnings
  • Support and lead presentations, translating technical insights into clear, actionable updates
  • Take on additional responsibilities as needed in a fast-growing, nimble environment


Qualifications:

  • 3–5 years of experience in technical design, product development, or a related role in women’s apparel
  • Experience working with intimates, performance, or close-to-body garments
  • Proven experience leading fittings and making fit decisions with confidence
  • Strong technical understanding of materials, construction, and ideally bonding/lamination
  • Experience working in PLM systems and managing product data with accuracy
  • Highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple workstreams in a fast-paced environment
  • Clear, confident communicator—able to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and factory partners
  • Proficiency in: Excel / Google Sheets, Adobe Illustrator, Google Workspace, and presentation tools
