Title: Associate Scientist II – Mammalian Cell Culture & Molecular Biology

About the role
Join a research team focused on early-phase discovery for rare blood diseases. This role supports in vitro and ex vivo studies through hands-on cell biology and molecular biology work, contributing to target identification and validation.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform mammalian cell culture, including isolation and culture of primary cells
- Execute and analyze cell-based and molecular assays (e.g., qPCR, enzyme assays)
- Process tissue samples for protein and mRNA downstream applications
- Support assay optimization, troubleshooting, and data interpretation
- Maintain accurate electronic laboratory notebooks and documentation
- Assist with data presentation, reporting, and lab instrument maintenance
Qualifications
- MS in Biology + 2+ years experience OR BS in Biology + 4+ years experience
- Hands-on experience with mammalian cell culture (primary cells preferred)
- Experience with qPCR, ELISA, Western blot, or flow cytometry
- Strong foundation in cell and molecular biology principles
- Ability to work independently, troubleshoot, and manage multiple tasks
- High attention to detail with strong documentation and communication skills
Compensation (MA Pay Transparency):
- Estimated hourly range: $35–$40/hr (W-2).
- Final rate within this range will be based on skills, experience, and interview results.
