Job Description

WHAT IS THE OPPORTUNITY?

The candidate performs in a junior liquidity analyst capacity, provides accurate risk results and value-added information and supports manager with analytics and strategic analysis.”

WHAT WILL YOU DO?

  • Responsible for producing various daily liquidity reports, such as LCR, BLCR, sources and uses of funding etc., and provide value-added analysis and maintain accuracy and high quality
  • Provide businesses support to understand changes of their liquidity positions and provide answers to their queries
  • Support new business requests for liquidity management purposes
  • Monitor and identify areas of the work where efficiency and productivity can be improved, errors can be eliminated and potential risks can be minimized and implement the solutions
  • Develop a thorough understanding of data sources, key attributes and process from end to end in various systems and write query scripts to implement changes and automation
  • Build knowledge of the wide variety of products in the complex business platform and be able to understand the liquidity risk implications
  • Develop understanding of regulatory liquidity metrics including Basel III LCR and NSFR
  • Develop understanding of internal liquidity metrics
  • Technology savvy, identify the constraints in the work team is facing and implement technical solutions
  • Provide backup and necessary support to other team members
  • The following responsibilities apply to you in your role as a member
  • of the global Quant Team:
  • Proactively identify operational risks/ control deficiencies in the business
  • Review and comply with Firm Policies applicable to your business activities
  • Escalate operational risk loss events, control deficiencies and risks that you identify to your line manager and the relevant risk and control functions on a timely basis.
  • Identify, assist and manage operational risks/control deficiencies in the business.
  • Work to prevent, to detect, and to eliminate the potential for risk and liability to the Firm.

Must have

  • Superb computer/system technical skills, such as Python, VBA, SQL, C++, SAS, R, Matlab, MS Access and other MS suite of applications
  • Strong understanding of Capital Markets business, products and systems
  • Strong understanding of liquidity risk and financial regulations including Basel III regulatory requirements
  • 3+ years of experience in a similar role at Financial Institutions in the area of Capital Markets business, Liquidity, Treasury, Finance and/or Risk Management.

Preferred:

CA, CFA or a postgraduate degree in Finance, Economics, Computing Science or equivalent relevant work experience in Capital Markets and/or Treasury function

The good-faith expected salary range for the above position is $80K - $135K depending on factors including but not limited to the candidate’s experience, skills, registration status; market conditions; and business needs.This salary range does not include other elements of total compensation, including a discretionary bonus and benefits such as a 401(k) program with company-matching contributions; health, dental, vision, life and disability insurance; and paid time-off plan.
