Schedule:

Varies shifts 0.01FTE PRN; including both day and night availability, with certain periods having a heavier PM-hour concentration.

Schedule will rotate around school commitments, including both day and night availability. Majority of hours are typically in the late afternoon/evening, approximately 4:00–8:30 PM. Morning availability may include 7:00 AM–3:30 PM, depending on school schedule.

 

Every other weekend; rotating holiday 

 

A physical working job that requires you to be on your feet throughout the working hours. Must push food carts and deliver food trays to patients, walking, squatting, lifting, pulling, continuous standing  cleaning, stocking food/drink, and working in dish room.  

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

Prepares, plates, serves, and transports food and supplies to provide a high level of satisfaction for patients, family members, physicians, team members, and the public. Responsible for timely, accurate, and courteous service. Responsible for associated sanitation, cleaning, and infection control practices to ensure food safety. Operates a variety of food service and computer equipment.

  • High school diploma, GED or equivalent experience is preferred. 
  • No experience is required. Prior food service experience is preferred.
  • Requires the ability to operate kitchen equipment.
  • Must be able to wear protective equipment/clothing required by the environment or government regulations such as gowns, gloves, goggles, rubber-soled closed-toe footwear, etc.
  • Requires adherence to local health regulations and safety requirements to produce safe food for consumption.
  • Requires the ability to climb ladders.
  • Physical requirements to include: reaching, standing for long periods of time, squatting, bending, carrying and/or lifting supplies and equipment weighing 35 lbs. or more, up to 80% of the time. Prepares, plates, serves, and transports food and supplies to provide a high level of satisfaction for patients, family members, physicians, team members, and the public.
