Job Description

What is the Opportunity?

  • Prepare monthly, quarterly and yearly analytical packages for senior management
  • Assist with the month-end and quarter-end closing process, including the creation, documentation and posting of journal entries to the general ledger
  • Perform related reconciliations for the monthly Standards of Documentation package and balance sheet attestation
  • Support the annual audit of the IHC’s consolidated financial statements including planning, footnote disclosure compilation, and serving as a point person for audit inquiries
  • Compile the Finance Month-end Sign off SOX memo to disclose significant issues and non-routine adjustments discovered during the month-end close
  • Perform reconciliation and variance analysis to provide reasonable assurance of correct balances on regulatory reports (i.e. FR Y-11).
  • Support various financial reporting automation efforts (i.e., Robotics Process Automation, Python Initiative, US Data Strategy automation efforts, etc).
  • Prepare various Head Office templates at month-end, quarter-end and year-end under IFRS and US GAAP
  • Prepare reconciliation of IFRS versus US GAAP balance sheet and income statement
  • Assist with internal, SOX and external audit inquires and prepare necessary work papers as required
  • Provide required support for the implementation of new accounting standards or updates
  • Handle daily Ad Hoc inquires/request to support other teams as needed

What do you need to succeed?

Basic Qualifications

  • CPA Accountant or relevant knowledge with 4 to 8 years of experience.

Other Required Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of banking industry
  • Financial statement preparation experience a must (in particular broker/dealer and/or banking industry)
  • Knowledge of IFRS and US GAAP

The good-faith expected salary range for the above position is $90,000 - $125,000 depending on factors including but not limited to the candidate’s experience, skills, registration status; market conditions; and business needs.This salary range does not include other elements of total compensation, including a discretionary bonus and benefits such as a 401(k) program with company-matching contributions; health, dental, vision, life and disability insurance; and paid time-off plan.
