RBC Capital Markets seeks an Associate Director, Surveillance Strategy & Governance in Jersey City, NJ to develop, enhance and maintain surveillance applications and platforms. Responsible for executing Capital Markets Surveillance initiatives executing scenario and application development projects covering different business and product areas as well as performing an evaluation and assessment of surveillance controls against relevant in-scope surveillance risks. Work with regional teams to define the business and technology requirements for the surveillance program centrally including, technology selection, surveillance development, and adhere to, maintain, and contribute to the improvements of, the operating model for surveillance design and development. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Engineering, or a related field, plus 4 years of experience in trade surveillance, compliance advisory, or capital markets, including in depth experience in at least one asset class, to understand the trade flow and unique risks facing the trading businesses, responding to Internal Audit and regulatory inquires, drafting business requirements for large, global system development projects specifically trade surveillance scenarios, user acceptance testing including drafting and executing test plans (related to trade surveillance scenarios), status reporting, and escalation management.
The base salary for this job is $160,000 per year.This salary does not include other elements of total compensation, including a discretionary bonus and benefits such as a 401(k) program with company-matching contributions; health, dental, vision, life and disability insurance; and paid time-off plan.
