About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented, and creatively driven Associate Designer with a strong focus on women’s apparel to join our design team. This role supports the full lifecycle of product creation — from early concept development through final execution — and plays a key role in translating seasonal ideas into well-crafted, technically sound products.

This position is ideal for someone with a passion for technical and performance-driven women’s apparel who can move fluidly between creative exploration and structured execution. You’ll work closely with Design leadership and cross-functional partners to ensure the women’s line is both visually compelling and product-accurate.

Key Responsibilities

Women’s Design & Creative Support

  • Assist in the development of seasonal concepts for the women’s line through trend research, market analysis, and visual inspiration
  • Create and contribute to mood boards, inspiration boards, and concept presentations
  • Bring forward fresh, brand-right ideas rooted in performance, lifestyle, art, and culture
  • Support the evolution of women’s silhouettes, proportions, and functional details

Technical Design Execution

  • Create and update detailed flat sketches in Adobe Illustrator with precision and consistency
  • Prepare CAD color-ups and design variations throughout the development process
  • Support tech pack development and maintain accurate, up-to-date design files
  • Partner with Technical Design to ensure development packages are clear and build-ready
  • Assist in reviewing prototypes and samples for style, proportion, and design intent

Seasonal Line Development

  • Help maintain seasonal line plans and visual merchandising boards
  • Support seasonal color development by creating palette boards, ordering Pantones, and preparing color communication tools
  • Assist with fabric and trim organization, swatch cards, and material references
  • Contribute to internal design reviews and presentation preparation

Organization & Workflow

  • Maintain organized digital and physical design archives (sketches, fabrics, trims, samples)
  • Track and update Bills of Materials (BOMs) as design changes occur
  • Attend weekly WIP meetings and document design revisions and updates
  • Ensure smooth handoff of design information to cross-functional teams through clear file management and documentation

What We’re Looking For

  • 1–3 years of experience in apparel design (internships included), with a strong interest or background in women’s apparel
  • Working knowledge of cut & sewn garment construction
  • Strong proficiency in Adobe Illustrator; working knowledge of Photoshop and InDesign
  • Comfortable working in Excel and managing detailed design information
  • Experience creating flat sketches, CAD color-ups, and assisting with tech packs
  • Strong eye for proportion, silhouette, color, and functional design, especially in women’s product
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects and shifting priorities
  • A proactive self-starter who thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication skills and a positive, team-oriented attitude

Nice to Have

  • Experience in performance, technical, or lifestyle apparel
  • Familiarity with fabric performance attributes and trim development
  • Exposure to working with overseas factories or development partners

Why This Role Matters
