Compensation: $115,000 – $125,000, plus discretionary bonus and benefits.

Both businesses are well-established and positioned for continued growth. We are seeking a motivated attorney to join our legal team to help support that growth!
Position Overview:
Reporting to the General Counsel and the Assistant General Counsels, the Associate Counsel will provide hands-on legal support across both areas of the business. This role offers the opportunity to work on a variety of impactful legal matters in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
The ideal candidate has 2+ years of relevant experience (preferably in real estate and/or supporting an operating business), is collaborative, intellectually curious, and interested in taking on meaningful legal work with increasing responsibility over time.
Key Responsibilities:
• Support acquisitions, dispositions, and financings of owned real estate, including diligence review and closing coordination.
• Support leasing and transactional matters in connection with owned real estate and laundromat operations, including reviewing and drafting leases, lease amendments, and related documents.
• Draft and review service agreements, brokerage agreements, NDAs, vendor contracts, and other commercial agreements.
• Draft and review legal notices, demand letters, correspondence, and other routine legal documents in support of leasing and operational matters.
• Assist with entity management, including maintaining corporate records, tracking filing deadlines, and supporting the formation and maintenance of entities.
• Assist with litigation tracking, insurance matters and risk management.
• Collaborate with the General Counsel, Assistant General Counsels, and internal business teams to support day-to-day legal needs.
• Coordinate with external counsel on various transactional and operational matters as needed.
Qualifications:
• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school; admitted to practice in good standing in the State of New York.
• 2+ years of legal experience at a law firm or in an in-house legal department.
• Prior-exposure to real estate, leasing, corporate, or transactional matters required.
• Experience supporting an operating business preferred.
• Strong drafting, negotiation, organizational, and communication skills.
• Eagerness to learn and grow in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. Coachability is a must.
• Ability to manage competing deadlines while remaining detail-oriented and responsive.
• Excellent judgment, a strong business-sense and interpersonal skills; a team player who can work independently when needed.
