New York, NY

We are seeking a high-caliber CLO Analytics Associate to join a world-class credit platform. This is a technical, front-office adjacent role designed for a candidate who understands the "math behind the deal." You will be responsible for the sophisticated modeling, stress testing, and automation required to manage a global CLO platform throughout its entire lifecycle.

This position offers a unique vantage point, collaborating directly with Portfolio Managers, Technology teams, and Business Strategy to drive the expansion of a premier $65B+ AUM credit business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Advanced Cash Flow Modeling: Utilize Intex, proprietary internal tools, and 3rd party engines to run complex cash flow, stress, and optimization analyses.
  • Systems & Automation: Partner with internal Engineering teams to build, maintain, and deploy the next generation of in-house analytical tools. You will act as the "product owner" for CLO analytics, troubleshooting and refining models.
  • PM Partnership: Collaborate with Portfolio Managers to refine cash flow assumptions and evaluate compliance with indenture documentation and structural triggers.
  • Capital Markets Strategy: Assist in evaluating and recommending redemptions, refinancings, and resets (Refi/Resets) based on quantitative projections.
  • Business Intelligence: Partner with Business Strategy to project profitability, AUM growth, and key business metrics for the CLO vertical.
  • Investor Relations Support: Work with the Business Development team to provide deep-dive debt and equity analysis for investor inquiries and marketing updates.
  • Cross-Functional Liaison: Coordinate with Legal, Tax, Accounting, and external consultants to ensure the validity of models and the efficiency of new fund setups.

Experience & Skills:

  • Background: 2–4 years of experience in structured credit analytics, CLO modeling, or valuation (ideally from a CLO manager, rating agency, or specialized Big 4 valuation group).
  • Education: STEM Undergrad; STEM Advanced Degree Preferred.
  • Structural Expertise: Deep understanding of CLO waterfalls, indenture mechanics, and the ability to interpret complex legal documentation.
  • Quantitative Rigor: Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills are non-negotiable. Strong familiarity with Intex and Bloomberg is highly preferred.
  • Tech-Forward: Programming experience in Python, VBA, or SQL is a major advantage, as you will be the primary bridge between the investment desk and the tech team.
  • Proactive Mindset: You should be "front-footed"—anticipating questions from PMs and investors before they are asked.
  • Communication: Ability to translate complex quantitative results into actionable insights for non-technical stakeholders.
  • Adaptability: Thrives in a fast-paced, high-stakes investment environment where accuracy is paramount.
