Coda Search is partnering with a fast-growing health-tech firm with offices located in Boston. The team is seeking an Associate Buyer / Procurement Associate to support and enhance its end-to-end procurement function. This individual will play a key role in managing purchasing activities, vendor relationships, and procurement operations across the organization, while also partnering closely with the Director of Procurement on process improvements and system optimization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the day-to-day procurement and purchasing process across the organization
  • Manage the full lifecycle of purchase orders (creation, approval, tracking, and reconciliation)
  • Serve as a key point of contact for vendor management, including onboarding, communication, and performance tracking
  • Ensure procurement activities align with company policies, budgets, and compliance standards
  • Partner with internal stakeholders (finance, operations, IT, etc.) to support purchasing needs and optimize spend
  • Maintain accurate procurement records and documentation within the company’s procurement system (ZIP)
  • Assist in negotiating pricing, contracts, and service agreements with vendors
  • Support invoice reconciliation and collaborate with Accounts Payable to resolve discrepancies
  • Analyze procurement data to identify cost-saving opportunities and efficiency improvements
  • Work closely with the Director to streamline workflows, enhance procurement processes, and implement best practices


Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in procurement, purchasing, or sourcing roles
  • Experience working with procurement platforms (ZIP strongly preferred)
  • Strong understanding of purchase order processes, vendor management, and procurement operations
  • Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in Excel and procurement/reporting tools
  • Experience in a healthcare, health-tech, or regulated environment is a plus
