Associate Attorney

Litigation Associate (4–8 Years) – Raleigh, NC

A well-established regional law firm is seeking a Litigation Associate with 4–8 years of experience to join its Raleigh office. The ideal candidate will have meaningful experience handling complex civil litigation matters and be prepared to assume significant responsibility in an active litigation practice.

Qualified candidates may have experience in one or more of the following areas:

• Medical malpractice and healthcare litigation
• Premises liability
• Products liability
• Commercial litigation
• Insurance coverage and bad faith disputes

Responsibilities include:

• Managing cases through all phases of litigation
• Conducting and defending depositions
• Drafting and arguing substantive motions
• Handling written discovery and fact development
• Participating in mediations and settlement negotiations
• Assisting with trial preparation and trial work

Qualifications:

• J.D. from an accredited law school
• Active North Carolina bar admission or eligibility to waive in; South Carolina bar a plus
• 4–8 years of civil litigation experience
• Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills
• Experience taking depositions and managing case strategy
