Insurance Defense Attorney (General Liability)

Salary: $125,000–$215,000 + Bonus (DOE)
A well-regarded and growing litigation firm is seeking an Insurance Defense Attorney to join its Philadelphia office. This hybrid opportunity offers a 1,900 billable hour target and the chance to work on high-quality general liability matters in a collaborative, mentorship-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Defend general liability cases, including premises liability, auto accidents, and slip-and-fall matters
- Manage cases from inception through resolution or trial
- Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, and legal memoranda
- Conduct depositions and attend court appearances, mediations, and arbitrations across Pennsylvania
- Partner with clients and senior attorneys to develop effective litigation strategies
Qualifications:
- JD from an accredited law school
- Admission to the Pennsylvania Bar (required)
- 1+ year of insurance defense or civil litigation experience
- Strong legal writing, research, and case management skills
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines and a busy caseload
