Associate Attorney

Overview

A rapidly growing, mid-sized law firm is seeking a litigation associate with 2–6 years of experience to join its dynamic litigation practice. This role offers early responsibility, direct client exposure, and the opportunity to work across a diverse docket in a collaborative, entrepreneurial environment.

Practice Focus

The practice includes a mix of:

• Insurance defense matters
• Personal injury litigation
• Business and commercial disputes

Candidates with experience in one or more of these areas are encouraged to apply. The firm values adaptable litigators interested in developing a well-rounded practice.

Responsibilities

• Handle all phases of litigation, including pleadings, written discovery, depositions, motion practice, and trial preparation
• Draft motions, briefs, discovery requests, and responses
• Take and defend depositions commensurate with experience level
• Manage cases with increasing autonomy while working closely with senior attorneys
• Communicate directly with clients, opposing counsel, and experts
• Assist with trial and arbitration preparation, as well as mediations and settlement negotiations

Qualifications

• JD from an accredited law school
• Active bar admission in the relevant jurisdiction
• 2–6 years of litigation experience, including insurance defense, personal injury, and/or business or commercial litigation
• Strong legal writing, research, and analytical skills
• Experience handling discovery and motion practice
• Ability to manage multiple matters and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
