Associate Attorney – General Liability (Hybrid)


We are partnering with a growing defense litigation firm to identify an Associate Attorney for its General Liability practice in either Doylestown, PA or Jersey City, NJ. This is a hybrid role with strong mentorship, hands-on litigation experience, and long-term growth potential.


This opportunity is ideal for an attorney with approximately 3 years of civil defense experience who wants to deepen their litigation skills in a supportive, well-structured environment.


Associate Attorney – General Liability - The Role

Under the guidance of experienced partners, the Associate Attorney will manage a diverse caseload of insurance defense and general liability matters, gaining exposure to all phases of litigation.


Associate Attorney – General Liability Responsibilities include:

  • Managing and billing a caseload of approximately 25+ matters
  • Drafting and responding to pleadings, motions, and written discovery
  • Attending and defending depositions; taking depositions
  • Making court appearances and attending hearings
  • Assisting with mediations and trial preparation
  • Collaborating directly with clients and internal legal teams


Associate Attorney – General Liability Qualifications

  • Active Bar license in good standing in both PA and either NJ or NY
  • J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school
  • 3+ years of civil defense litigation experience, preferably in:
    • General Liability
    • Insurance Defense
    • Labor & Employment
    • Property/Presises
    • Casualty/Personal Injury
  • Experience handling multiple matters simultaneously
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Comfortable working independently while meeting deadlines
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and standard legal technology
  • Valid driver’s license

Mediation or trial experience is a plus but not required.


Associate Attorney – General Liability Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary range: $115,000–$155,000 (commensurate with experience)
