This is a "face of the case" role where you will not just assist, but lead—taking depositions, attending mediations, and arguing in both Federal and State courts.
Key Areas of Focus:Third-Party & Bad Faith Litigation: Tackle complex, high-exposure claims involving third-party liability and sophisticated bad faith defense strategies.
Strategic Autonomy: Move away from repetitive, volume-based work. You will be expected to develop innovative legal theories and serve as a strategic advisor to a select group of high-profile clients.
Trial Readiness: Work in a collaborative environment with direct mentorship from seasoned partners who are invested in your professional growth and courtroom presence.
Front-Line Advocacy: Proactively represent client interests in depositions, mediations, and court hearings. This is a client-facing role requiring a strong interpersonal presence.
Case Leadership: Manage a diverse and sophisticated caseload from inception through resolution, maintaining total ownership of file progress and strategy.
Federal & State Practice: Draft and argue high-quality pleadings and motions in both Florida State and Federal courts.
Strategic Negotiations: Lead alternative dispute resolution (ADR) and settlement negotiations to achieve favorable, strategic outcomes.
Strategic Research: Perform in-depth analysis of evolving case law to provide "premium service" counsel to high-net-worth clients and carriers.
Litigation Background: 2 to 5 years of civil litigation experience; direct experience in Third-Party Liability or Insurance Bad Faith is strongly preferred.
Bar Admission: Active member of the Florida Bar in good standing (or eligible for expedited admission/reciprocity).
Courtroom Presence: You must be comfortable and confident in a client-facing and court-facing capacity.
Technical Skills: Exceptional legal writing and oral advocacy skills are non-negotiable; candidates should be prepared to provide a writing sample.
