As an Assistant Virtual Design Manager, you’ll support our Virtual Design Manager in daily operations and help implement Building Information Modeling (BIM) strategies across multiple projects. This role provides hands-on experience with BIM coordination, drawing review, and the integration of virtual design tools into both office and field workflows.
Experience and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of engineering or architectural experience.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Navisworks, Excel, and Bluebeam.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Strong ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks across projects.
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work independently with minimal oversight.
- Collaborative team player who can represent CBG in a professional and positive manner.
Responsibilities
- Assist with day-to-day operations of the Virtual Design and Construction (VDC) team.
- Run BIM MEPS (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, and Structural) coordination and clash detection for internal projects.
- Collaborate with project teams to draft coordination details using AutoCAD.
- Review drawings for constructability and accuracy.
- Support and train employees in BIM tools and best practices for field and office integration.
