Assistant Superintendent

A well‑established general contractor is seeking an Assistant Superintendent to support interior public construction projects at a secure, high‑traffic transportation facility in South Florida. This role offers hands‑on exposure to complex, fast‑paced work within an active, regulated environment.

About the Role

The Assistant Superintendent will support daily field operations for interior, public‑facing spaces, working closely with the Superintendent and Project Management team. The ideal candidate is organized, safety‑focused, and comfortable coordinating work in occupied facilities with strict logistics and phasing requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Support day‑to‑day field operations for interior public construction
• Coordinate subcontractors, inspections, and short‑term schedules
• Enforce safety standards on an active, security‑restricted site
• Assist with quality control, punch lists, and close‑out activities
• Communicate effectively with field leadership and trade partners

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in commercial construction, preferably interiors
• Experience in aviation, transportation, healthcare, or other public/occupied environments preferred
• Strong understanding of construction sequencing, safety, and jobsite coordination
• Flexibility to work off‑hours, phased schedules, and within secure environments
