Job Description

Join our established and reputable organization as an Assistant Superintendent. In this role, you will work directly with the Paving Superintendent to effectively manage and oversee various projects. You will play a key role in job costing, budgeting, and helping paving foremen meet job expectations. Additionally, you will perform jobsite layouts, coordinate with customers, assist in scheduling, and implement quality control systems.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Paving Superintendent to manage projects efficiently.
• Participate in job costing and budgeting processes.
• Assist paving foremen in understanding project bids to meet job expectations.
• Perform jobsite layout prior to crew arrival.
• Meet with customers to review and coordinate upcoming work.
• Assist with job scheduling and workforce planning.
• Develop and implement quality control systems.

Essential Skills

• 3+ years of experience in construction, ideally with a heavy civil experience.
• Proficiency in construction management, project scheduling, and subcontractor management.
• Strong understanding of asphalt paving operations.
• Knowledge of job costing and budgeting processes.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to work overtime as required.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in paving, excavation, and site development.
• Understanding of concrete construction and land development.
• Experience in construction supervision and working with a general contractor.

Work Environment

The position requires working from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM at the jobsite out in the field. Our company boasts a beautiful, newly renovated office and offers an excellent benefits package, including employee profit sharing. This is a Permanent position based out of Hudson, NY.

The pay range for this position is $65000.00 - $85000.00/yr.

Paid vacation and sick time– Full benefits package including, Health insurance, Dental insurance, Vision coverage, Life insurance, 401(k) Pension/Profit Sharing Plan

This is a fully onsite position in Hudson,NY.

This position is anticipated to close on Apr 17, 2026.
