I am currently representing a powerhouse in the Florida construction market—a General Contractor & Construction Management specialist known for their deep roots and prestigious portfolio.
With a reputation built on decades of successful delivery, my client is a "household name" in the Florida GC space. They operate across a diverse range of high-stakes sectors, including K-12 & Higher Education, Healthcare, Federal, and Multifamily. Due to a massive surge in project wins across the Orlando area, they are looking to bolster their project teams with high-caliber Assistant Project Managers who are ready to fast-track their careers.
ABOUT THE ROLE
Project Controls: Take ownership of the RFI and Submittal processes. Ensure the field team is working off the most current sets and that all technical queries are resolved swiftly.
Subcontractor Management: Act as the primary liaison for subcontractors, coordinating schedules, verifying work progress, and managing compliance.
Financial Support: Assist in tracking project budgets, reviewing pay applications, and managing the change order log to protect project margins.
Site Presence: Spend time on-site to assist with quality control inspections, safety compliance, and the development of comprehensive punch lists.
Meeting Leadership: Coordinate and document OAC (Owner-Architect-Contractor) meetings, ensuring all stakeholders are aligned and action items are closed out.
ABOUT THE CANDIDATE
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field is required.
Experience:2 to 5 years of experience in commercial construction. (Previous experience in the Florida market is a significant advantage).
Tech-Savvy: You should be a "power user" of Procore or similar project management platforms. Exposure to Primavera P6 is a plus.
Communication: You must be able to hold your own in a trailer and a boardroom alike—clear, concise, and professional communication is non-negotiable.
The "Driver" Mentality: You don't wait to be told what to do; you anticipate needs, identify risks early, and provide solutions.
Safety First: OSHA 30-Hour certification is preferred.
