TYPICAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist one or more Senior Project Managers with scheduling, takeoffs, Requests for Information (RFI’s), Submittals, Change Orders, etc.
  • Enforce and adhere to the highest standards of safety, professionalism and quality
  • Conduct site inspections, which will include travel throughout Benning’s territory (AL, FL, GA, NC, SC, TN, VA, KY)
  • Preparation of Owner and Subcontractor Agreements
  • Communicate with subcontractors during the preconstruction phase through close-out
  • Expedite subcontractors and material deliveries in coordination with the Superintendent to ensure the work remains on schedule
  • Thorough and accurate documentation throughout each project
  • Schedule and conduct weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly meetings with the Owner and/or the Owner’s Representatives, as well as subcontractors


Job Requirements

  • Knowledge of project documents, specifications, and general and special conditions
  • Deadline driven with strong time management capabilities
  • Ability to think critically throughout the project
  • A desire to learn, willingness to ask questions, and an inclination to take initiative
  • An understanding of the elements of a project schedule and how to develop one
  • Strong problem solving abilities
  • Computer and technical skills
  • Field experience preferred, but not required
  • Bachelor’s degree or experience in commercial construction
  • OSHA-10 or OSHA-30 Certification
  • Effective communication skills, both orally and in writing
  • Professionally represent Benning to the Owners, Architects, Engineers, Subcontractors, Government Officials and Inspectors
  • Travel throughout the Southeast (AL, FL, GA, NC, SC, TN, VA, KY)
