The Psychology Department at Springfield College invites applications for a one-year, nine-month Assistant Professor appointment to provide teaching and advising. The expected teaching load is 12 credits (four courses) each semester.
The successful candidate will be joining a dynamic Department that include an undergraduate psychology major, and an APA-accredited PsyD counseling psychology program. Actual salaries will vary depending on multiple factors, including but not limited to degrees attained, experience, and other considerations permitted by law. Comprehensive compensation details, including any additional benefits, will be communicated upon finalization of the employment offer.Position responsibilities include teaching primarily at the undergraduate level, though opportunities to teach at the graduate level for the Counseling PsyD program may be possible. Specific courses may include: Social Psychology, Health Psychology, Child/Human Development, Statistics, Research Methods in Psychology, or other courses in Psychology. In addition, the position may include advising undergraduates. If desired, there are opportunities to support undergraduate and graduate student research.
Successful candidates must have an earned doctoral degree in Psychology (specific area open). ABD candidates are also invited to apply.
