Assistant Professor of Computer Science/ Computer Information Systems

Talladega College is seeking an Assistant Professor to teach Computer Science courses in the Computer Science program. This is a tenure-track position reporting to the Department Chair and is slated to begin in fall 2026. Responsibilities include teaching Programming, Database, Networking or Cybersecurity courses as well as introductory courses in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems and Cybersecurity curriculum. Teaching responsibility to include innovative use of technology and student engagement in the classroom. Other responsibilities include student academic advisement, maintaining office hours and service to the college. Actively serve on college committees and student organizations. Meet established deadlines. Other duties as assigned by the Chair, Dean, or Provost/Vice President of Academic Affairs. Minimum Qualifications: • Preferred Ph.D. in Biology, or closely related field from a regionally accredited institution, with at least 18 graduate hours in biology. • Successful teaching experience at the college level. • Should have documented performance in teaching, scholarship and service with an ability to work independently and as a team member. A commitment to student engagement and learning. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
