Assistant Professor for Nursing--Graduate Programs

West Virginia Wesleyan College invites applications for a full-time Assistant Professor of Nursing position starting in August 2026. The successful candidate will teach in the MSN and/or DNP Family Nurse Practitioner and Leadership program tracks. The position will also be responsible for networking and coordinating with clinical agencies for students in the graduate program to ensure practicum sites are available for student experiences.

Minimum requirements include an MSN degree (doctorate preferred), a valid (or qualify for a valid) West Virginia nursing license, active Family Nurse Practitioner Certification, minimum of 1 year of nurse practitioner clinical experience within the past 3 years, and an unencumbered driver’s license. Previous experience as a faculty member is preferred along with preference for experience with online teaching modalities. The successful candidate will have the ability to articulate the needs of the School of Nursing, support a collegial work environment, appreciate the significance of rural clinical experience and distance education, and have the desire to join with us in building a program that will be recognized as a model in its teaching, research, practice and service achievements.

The School of Nursing at Wesleyan boasts BSN, MSN, and DNP programs with a rapidly growing student enrollment. The state-of-the-art simulation lab employs cutting-edge technologies to prepare students to embrace a myriad of opportunities in nursing.
