McGovern Medical School at UTHealth Houston, a leading academic health center, invites applications for a full-time (1.0 FTE), non-tenure clinical track Assistant/Associate/Full Professor position in the Children's Heart Institute, Division of Pediatric Cardiology, Non-Invasive Imaging team.
The Pediatric Cardiology Team is internationally recognized for providing patients with the best standard of pediatric cardiac care for children and adults with congenital heart defects. We have 22 cardiologists, including non-invasive imaging (fetal and cardiac MR/CT), interventional cardiologists, electrophysiologists, HF/transplant, preventive cardiology, and community cardiologists. There are 3 congenital heart surgeons with a 20-bed dedicated cardiac ICU, 20 intermediate care beds, and a 120-bed NICU. Children's Memorial Hermann Hospital is ranked in the top 25 pediatric cardiology and cardiac surgery programs in the 2024-2025 US News & World Report.
The selected candidates will serve our community in the Southeast Houston Region and model the best practices in clinical care and public health through research, teaching, clinical service, administrative activities, and other services. Board-certified and/or eligible candidates in pediatric cardiology should have advanced training (4th year) or at least 5 years of experience in performing and interpreting echocardiography and transesophageal echocardiograms.
The selected candidates will contribute to the department’s mission to educate health science professionals, discover and translate advances in the biomedical and social sciences, and model the best practices in clinical care and public health through research, teaching, clinical service, administrative activities, and other services.
