Planner Assistant
Pay: $30–32/hour
Location: San Diego, CA (Hybrid – 4 days onsite) (Multiple Locations: Pacific Beach & Downtown)
Duration: 2-year contract with potential extension and conversion
Our client, a leading energy company that delivers natural gas and electricity to millions of customers, across Southern California, is seeking a Planner Assistant to join their team.
The Planner Assistant will support the Service Planning team within the Customer Service organization. This is a highly administrative role focused on coordinating daily activities, supporting documentation, and assisting with operational workflows tied to field service projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and coordinate calendars for team members and Service Coordinators
- Assist with preparation and tracking of permits and related documentation
- Support invoice preparation and basic administrative financial tasks
- Handle incoming phone calls and provide general administrative support
- Assist Service Coordinators with project-related tasks to streamline field operations
- Maintain organized records and ensure documentation accuracy
- Provide general administrative support across a large, fast-paced team
Qualifications:
- High school diploma required
- Previous experience in administrative or customer service roles preferred (e.g., dispatcher, administrative assistant, office coordinator, front desk support)
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Comfortable handling a high volume of administrative tasks
Additional Details:
- Hybrid schedule: 4 days onsite, 1 day remote
- Work hours: 8-hour shift starting between 6:00–7:00 AM PST
- One round of interviews with the hiring manager and supervisor
