Role Description

This is a full-time role for an Assistant Operations Manager. The Assistant Operations Manager will support daily operational activities, assist with project planning and execution, coordinate with teams to ensure timelines are met, and monitor compliance with company standards. The role also involves problem-solving, performance monitoring, employee training, and ensuring resource allocation aligns with project objectives to guarantee successful service delivery.


The Assistant Operations Manager will report to a current DRM Operations Manager. Specific duties may include:


  • Interview and hire candidates to meet head count requirements
  • Monitor the onboarding paperwork of new hires and ensure requirements are met before being scheduled
  • Send schedules and confirm employee arrivals to project locations.
  • Review and approve employee timecards
  • Review and approve employee expense submissions
  • Gather hotel quotes from sourcing partners and help to identify the best options 
  • Handle all Operations Manager responsibilities in absence of Operations Manager 


Qualifications

  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Experience with team coordination, employee supervision, and performance monitoring
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with internal teams and external clients       
  • Background in multi-location team leadership with 2+ years of field experience.
  • Proven ability to promote positive company culture while assisting with the leadership of a remote workforce.
  • Familiarity with retail operations, including store setups, remodels, resets, and fixture installations, is a plus
  • Experience with interviewing and hiring employees to meet company’s staffing head count requirements.
  • Minimum 20% travel required (approximately 6 days per month).
  • Will require evening and weekend responsibilities to provide staffing and hotel assistance, as needed.
  • Ability to pass background check and drug test.
  • Must live within driving distance to Mooresville, NC as this position will be office based.
