JOB TITLE: Assistant Men’s Soccer Coach REPORTS TO: Athletic Director DEPARTMENT: Athletics START DATE: Immediately CLASSIFICATION: Part Time Staff SALARY: $2,200 Stipend + Room and Board General Function: Andre w College is seeking an Assistant Men’s Soccer Coach to help administer all areas related to a highly competitive soccer program. The Assistant Men’s soccer coach es responsibilities include assisting the head coach in all aspects of the soccer program, including but not limited to, training session organization, game preparation, recruitment, scouting, team travel, fundraising, special events, and academic monitoring. The successful candidate must adher e to all NJCA A, Georgia Collegiate Athletic Association, a nd Andrew College policies. The Assistant Men’s Soccer Coach must understand the dynamics of a small college setting and have the ability to take on several tasks outside the coaching arena towards success for the Athlet ic Department and Andrew College as a whole. Duties and Responsibilities: - Fulfill the mi ssion, vision, and strategic plan of the Andrew College department of athle tics as it pertains to the Men’s Soccer program. - Help maintain the soccer field including cutting of grass and all aspects of maintenance - Recruit quality student -athletes - Help d evelop and supervise practices, game planning, schedule arrangements, and off season training. - Maintain high academic standards for student -athletes - Interact and develop healthy relationships with other Andrew College departments - Meet NJCAA and GCAA complianc e guidelines and regulations - Strong disciplined skills and consistency with communication and structure required - Good driving record with ability to drive Andrew College vans and recruiting vehicles - Perform other duties as assigned by the Head Men’s Soccer Coach and Athletic Director Working Conditions - While performing the duties of this job you may be required to lift and/or move heavy items. You will also be required to work irregular hours, including nights and weekends. Minimum Requirements: Bachelor’s degree preferred . However, consideration will be given to those candidates with an equivalent combination of education, experience, and training. Previous collegiate level coaching experience preferred.
