About the Role
The Professional Fighters League (PFL) is seeking an experienced marketing professional to join our team. As Assistant Marketing Manager, you will be responsible for bridging departments within the organization, as well as spearheading key day-to-day initiatives on the marketing side of the business. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience in marketing sports/entertainment brands, with a passion and base level knowledge around combat sports. This role reports to the Senior Marketing Manager.
Responsibilities:
1. Brief and liaise the development of creative for ticketing and tune in media
2. Manage CRM and owned media execution across tune in and ticketing initiatives
3. Manage paid media execution with industry media partners
4. Assist in day-to-day management of media agency
5. Assist in the development of media strategy around tune in and ticketing campaigns
6. Manage day to day marketing invoicing operations
7. Assist in the development and promotion of international broadcast partners
8. Candidate must be available & willing to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
9. Candidate is expected to be available & willing to travel as needed
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Sport Management, or a related field
2. 3-5 years of professional experience as a marketing professional
3. Comfortable operating in a data-centric mindset, with emphasis on optimizing campaigns based on previous performance
4. Strong understanding of paid media tactics, benchmarks, and best practices.
5. Experience in email marketing and basic knowledge of CRM best practices is ideal
6. Excellent writing and communication skills
7. Ability to work independently, as well as part of a collaborative team environment
8. Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
9. Experience working in a fast-paced environment, particularly with live events and tight deadlines
10. Proficiency in Microsoft Office
11. Passion for combat sports and familiarity with the MMA landscape is preferred
Compensation Range: $75k-$85k
