Education
To meet the basic requirement, applicants must meet one of the following and provide documentation to support the claim. A. Degree: Successful completion of a full 4-year course of study in an accredited college or university leading to a bachelor's or higher degree in auditing or a related field such as business administration, finance, public administration, or accounting. OR B. Combination of education and experience: at least 4 years of experience in Performance Auditing, or an equivalent combination of performance auditing experience, college-level education, and training that provided professional auditing knowledge. The applicant's background must also include one of the following: A certificate as Certified Public Accountant or a Certified Internal Auditor, obtained through written examination; or Completion of the requirements for a degree that included substantial course work in auditing or accounting, e.g., 15 semester hours. **You must provide transcripts or other documentation to support your educational claims. To receive credit for education, you must provide documentation of proof that you meet the education requirements for this position. The education generally must be from an accredited (or pre-accredited) college or university recognized by the U.S. Department of Education.
