Description

The Assistant Director over Recruiting and Staffing for Camp Crestridge leads the strategy and execution of summer staff recruitment, working closely with interns, campus contacts, and internal teams to identify and onboard high-quality summer staff. This role includes developing recruiting plans, managing the interview process, and maintaining a strong social media and web presence that reflects Camp Crestridge culture and needs. The ideal candidate has a personal relationship with Jesus and a heart for ministry with children, is relational, organized, and has a strong desire to build a strong team to enable our ministry.

Requirements

  • Lead the full summer staff recruiting process—from identifying candidates to onboarding.
  • Plan and execute recruiting trips; travel with and coach interns in recruitment best practices.
  • Set recruiting goals and track progress through weekly metrics and updates.
  • Train and support recruiting interns in conducting interviews; manage all follow-up interviews.
  • Oversee staff application timelines and hiring decisions
  • Create and manage weekly recruiting content for social media platforms.
  • Ensure the recruiting website and staff bio pages are current and compelling.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key college influencers to strengthen recruiting pipelines.
  • Coordinate and lead Staff Evaluation Day and compile relevant candidate feedback.
  • Prioritize recruiting efforts by reducing involvement in non-recruiting seasonal events.
  • During the summer months when camp is in session, the Assistant Director will shift to an active role in managing the day-to-day operations and ministry of Camp Crestridge. Operations include logistics, skills, media operations, transportation, and more.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Basic Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience in recruiting, staffing, or college outreach.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to plan, coordinate, and travel for recruiting trips.
  • Comfortable training and mentoring others (especially college interns).
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Google Suite, and social media platforms.
  • Highly organized, able to manage multiple timelines and responsibilities.
  • Ability to walk long distances across uneven terrain and lift up to 30 pounds occasionally.
  • Possess a valid Driver's License.
  • Affirmation of our statement of faith.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in camp ministry, higher education, or a seasonal staffing model.
  • Knowledge of applicant tracking systems and recruitment analytics.
  • Skills in social media content creation and brand storytelling.
  • Experience leading or working alongside college student leaders or interns.
  • Understanding of goal-setting frameworks such as WIGs, lead/lag measures, or OKRs.
