Surgical Pavilion Unit Highlights

1 hybrid operating room, featuring advanced imaging technology that allows an interventional cardiologist, radiologist, and vascular surgeon to collaborate and multi-task
Cases include general surgery, robotics, urology, Vascular, neuro, ortho, plastics, breast, pulmonary, thoracic.
State-of-the-art sterilization tools and processes
Member of the MedStar Health entity-based Division of Nursing and leadership team
Supports and collaborates with the Director of Nursing (DON) in providing leadership and oversight for the OR
Directs and coordinates the nursing and patient care delivery of the unit-based professional and support personnel
15-20 direct reports
Assists DON with time cards, annual and mid-year reviews, schedules, huddles/meetings, bed needs, staff collaboration
Direct relationship with anesthesia team and surgeons
Schedule: Full Time Days, five 8s or four 10s, 7a start
Qualifications
BSN from an accredited School of Nursing required; MSN preferred.
3+ year of Operating Room (OR) RN experience required; 2 years of leadership/management experience strongly preferred. Scrub experience strongly preferred.
Active MD RN License or Active Compact State RN and Basic Life Support for Healthcare providers required (AHA or American Red Cross). ACLS preferred. CVOR a plus.
This position has a hiring range of : USD $52.50 - USD $77.73 /Hr.
