Salary: Up to $150,000 per annum (Direct Hire)


About the Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) – Behavioral Health to join a leading healthcare organization in New York City. This leadership role is responsible for assisting in the planning, organization, coordination, and evaluation of nursing services within a behavioral health setting while ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care and regulatory compliance.


Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the development and implementation of nursing policies, procedures, objectives, and standards.
  • Provide leadership, guidance, and oversight to nursing supervisors and clinical staff.
  • Support nursing operations, staffing, budgeting, and resource allocation.
  • Coordinate and evaluate patient care programs to ensure quality outcomes.
  • Participate in quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives.
  • Conduct rounds, chart reviews, and patient care evaluations.
  • Prepare administrative reports related to staff performance and patient management.
  • Lead staff meetings, educational initiatives, and professional development activities.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to enhance patient care and operational efficiency.


Qualifications

Required

  • Active and unrestricted New York State Registered Nurse (RN) license.
  • Strong Behavioral Health leadership/supervisory experience.
  • One of the following:
  • Master's degree in nursing administration, Nursing Education, Clinical Specialty, or related field with at least 5 years of nursing experience, including 3 years in a supervisory or teaching role; OR
  • Bachelor's degree in nursing with at least 6 years of nursing experience, including 4 years in a supervisory or teaching role.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and team management skills.
  • Experience with quality improvement, regulatory compliance, and nursing operations.
