About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Assistant Director of Nursing (ADN) to support nursing operations and education within a Maternal Child Health setting. Reporting to the Associate Director of Nursing, this leadership role assists in planning, coordinating, supervising, and evaluating nursing services and education programs across a major clinical division.

This is an ideal opportunity for a seasoned RN leader with strong supervisory and teaching experience who is passionate about quality patient care, staff development, and nursing excellence.


Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in developing nursing policies, objectives, and standards of care
  • Support preparation of staffing, supply, and equipment budgets
  • Contribute to administrative procedures and patient care programs
  • Direct activities of Nurse Supervisors
  • Participate in planning and conducting nursing education programs
  • Conduct rounds, chart reviews, and evaluate quality of patient care
  • Lead and support quality assurance initiatives
  • Prepare administrative reports related to staff and patient management
  • Chair and attend regular nursing staff meetings
  • May oversee nursing operations during evening and night tours


Qualifications

  • Active New York State RN License
  • Master’s degree in nursing (Administration, Education, Clinical Specialty, or related field) with 5 years of nursing experience, including 3 years in a supervisory or teaching role
  • OR
  • Bachelor’s degree in nursing with 6 years of nursing experience, including 4 years in a supervisory or teaching role
  • Strong background in Maternal Child Health
  • Experience in nursing leadership, quality assurance, and staff development
