With offices in Philadelphia & Chicago the organization has supported thousands of congregations and advocates for the preservation and utilization of over 100,000 historic sacred places across the U.S.


Role Description & Key Responsibilities

This role will support multiple aspects of our capital campaigns, working collaboratively with congregations and community leaders to secure funding for the preservation and revitalization of historic sacred places. The Assistant Director will work closely with both clients and internal team members to guide organizations through fundraising efforts that strengthen their communities.


Conducting interviews with stakeholders and developing actionable recommendations.

Contributing to proposals, presentations, and client-facing materials.

Collaborating with teammates to support ongoing projects and future opportunities.


As this role centers on working directly with congregations of various faiths, comfort working within faith-based spaces is essential. This is a full-time, on-site position in Chicago with a one-day remote allowance per week.


Qualifications & Skills

  • Proven experience in Campaign Management and Fundraising, with the ability to plan, implement, and monitor capital campaigns.
  • Proficiency in Project Management and an organized approach to managing timelines, tasks, and team deliverables.
  • Willingness to travel and occasionally work evenings or weekends as needed
  • Familiarity with nonprofit operations, historic preservation, and/or community development is a plus.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.


Benefits and Compensation

Compensation: This is a full-time position with a competitive salary commensurate with experience. Range: $60,000-75,000 annually
