Role Overview The Assistant Construction Manager supports leadership in the daily management of EPC projects and program management ventures. This role involves overseeing project safety, quality, schedule, cost control, and contract administration. You will work across diverse industries, including aviation, power, manufacturing, and water infrastructure.


Key Responsibilities

  • Project Coordination: Assist in developing Project Execution, Quality, and Safety plans. Coordinate site mobilization/demobilization and secure necessary permits.
  • Contract & Procurement: Support RFP preparation, bid evaluations, and the negotiation of subcontracts and purchase orders. Manage downstream administration including RFIs, submittals, and change orders.
  • Financial & Schedule Management: Support cost reporting, progress tracking, and scheduling. Help manage invoicing processes and verify subcontractor insurance and compliance.
  • Field Operations: Facilitate material management and inventory control. Collaborate with Superintendents to ensure subcontractor compliance with safety and quality standards.
  • Labor & Equipment: Analyze crew rates, monitor labor burdens, and track craft progression. Assist in forecasting production rates and managing construction equipment inventory.
  • Reporting: Prepare project status updates regarding risks, costs, and cash flow for internal and external stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field. (Equivalent experience may be considered).
  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years of relevant construction experience, preferably on-site within the energy, industrial, or civil sectors.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with project management and scheduling software is preferred.
  • Core Competencies: Strong analytical skills, excellent communication, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Logistics: Must meet company driving requirements and be able to support field-based activities.
