Under the supervision of the Associate Director of Housing and Residence Life, the Assignments Coordinator provides comprehensive administrative and customer service support to both internal and external stakeholders within the Department of Housing and Residence Life. This role serves as a primary point of contact for current and prospective residents, as well as university partners, ensuring a high level of service and responsiveness. The Assignments Coordinator is responsible for coordinating, planning, and administering housing assignments, including those requiring specialized accommodations such as student-athletes, international students, accessibility needs, and Living-Learning Communities. The position also maintains accurate inventory of housing keys and processes lock changes. Additionally, the Coordinator provides administrative support for the Associate Director of Housing and Residence Life and assists with tracking and logistics of housing furniture inventory and operations of facilities.
Bachelor's degree and one to three years work experience in student services programs. A valid driver's license and safe driving history are required. Must have strong skills in providing excellent customer service and demonstrate strong ethics.
Must have ability to effectively plan and organize work activities and prioritize task completion according to schedules and goals. Strong written and oral communication skills are needed. General knowledge of Banner database and StarRez processes preferred.
